Diabetes Patient Education and Care Training Series This series of ten courses is designed to train health care professionals and clinical educators at entry-level and above to provide effective diabetes management education to patients. Each of the three types of diabetes – type I, type II, and gestational – are addressed in a separate course, and the remaining seven courses each cover a key element of diabetes disease management, including nutrition, exercise, behavior change, and glycemic control. Direct Care Inservice Curriculum Designed to teach direct caregivers, including but not limited to Certified Nursing Assistants, to provide client care for clients with diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, pneumonia, heart disease, cancer, and other topics, including an entire module devoted to skin care. Each of the eight courses in the series provides an overview of the disease or condition and then goes on to describe strategies and tips for caring for clients.
